Place of power: how to turn a bath into a ceremony.

“There are few disappointments in the world that a hot bath does not heal,” said poet and writer Sylvia Plat. We share her opinion and in a new article we figure out how to make a healing ritual for body and soul from taking a bath: we collect a set for delicate skin, equip space according to the principles of beauty and comfort, select essential oils and light candles for a relaxing atmosphere.

Depending on the time of day, water temperature and procedures, the bathroom can invigorate or relax. A cool, citrusy-colored bathtub refreshes and rinses off the remnants of sleep in the morning. Hot, foamy and with the smell of lavender helps to isolate yourself from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the evening. If you make a beautiful ritual from a routine visit to the bath, then it will cease to be just 150 liters of water, chained in cast iron, acrylic or steel, and will become a favorite space for a meeting with yourself, which will transform into a library, chamber spa-salon or corner for meditation and relaxation. To slow down and calm down anxiety

Take lavender or ylang-ylang essential oil with you to the bathtub. Pour 10 drops into a handful of sea salt and dissolve in water. Light a few candles to rest your eyes from artificial light, put light background music, such as ambient music, or your favorite mantra, under which it is easy to immerse yourself in meditation. Make sure you have a warm terry bathrobe and a cup of chamomile tea waiting for you after the bath.

To have a cultural time

Grab your favorite book or magazine, a plate of chopped fruit, a cup of tea, or a glass of wine. Dilute 1 kg of sea salt in water with 7 drops of invigorating essential oils: rosemary, orange or geranium. Choose non-trivial music like modern jazz or new age tunes. If you are not a fan of reading in the bathroom, immerse yourself in salt water and turn on an audiobook, favorite podcast or lecture.

To arrange a beauty evening

Helpers on the way to toned and velvety skin - a hard brush for the body (for example, from a cactus), scrub and moisturizing oil. Before the shower, spend 5 minutes with a brush massage: with light movements, follow from the feet and hands to the heart, massage your stomach in a circular motion. Then apply a coffee scrub to your skin and take a contrast shower. Then apply a little coconut or almond oil to wet skin and drink a glass of warm water.
